Estrogen-Driven Prostaglandin Signaling and ECM Remodeling in Uterine Fibroids (1974–1980)

During this period, estrogen-driven prostaglandin signaling emerged as the central mechanism linking uterine perfusion, contractility, and tissue remodeling in fibroid biology. Studies unified exogenous prostaglandin responses, endogenous prostaglandin levels, local delivery, and pharmacologic modulation of contractions, highlighting a convergent research program across hormonal and vascular dimensions.
